Representation at the Legislature

IPEA maintains an intense lobbying effort each year directed toward improving public employees working conditions, salaries and benefits. This is a year long effort. During the legislative session we post reports and a legislative score card on this website. We maintain an action alert email list so members can be informed when legislation is pending that will impact state employees. We work with all state legislators, the Governor's office, the Retirement Board, the Personnel Commission and other agencies which impact employee welfare. IPEA has been recognized as the voice of state workers in Idaho government since 1959.

On-the-Job Support

Call us at 208-336-2841 or send an email to donnayule.ipea@gmail.com to talk about on-the-job problems. Call us when a problem begins and we will work with you to help you resolve it. 

Earn $$$ for Recruiting

Current members can earn rewards for helping us recruit new members.  We reward members with $10 for each new Standard member they recruit, and $5 for each Retiree member.   New members receive a gift of Idaho Lottery scratch tickets with their completed registration form. 

IPEA newsletter

IPEA's newsletter is a comprehensive publication that keeps members informed about what's happening with Idaho public
employees. You will learn about proposed legislation, how your legislators voted, and more. We'll give you up-to-date information on candidates running for state and local offices so you will know who will support public employee issues, and lots more valuable information.

Regular E-lerts

Members receive regular E-lerts to give them up to the minute information on just about anything that affects public employees.  And after all, public employees are also taxpayers, so just about anything that affects government budgets affects public employees.

Legal Services

Brad Goodsell IPEA Legal Affairs Director

Brad Goodsell is IPEA's Legal Affairs Director.  In addition to giving you employment related legal advice, he is also providing our members with legal services comparable to those in a commercially available prepaid legal program included with your membership dues.  Read more about the types of legal services available to you as a member of IPEA by following this link.
